The Season Is Upon Us!

Last season's March was the best in history so I guess it stands to reason this season's March should be the worst just to balance things out.  The Golf season, nevertheless, is upon us which means its time to sign up for the Monday Night Men's, Friday Night Couples, and Tuesday Night Ladies Leagues .  Players that played in last year's leagues have until April 6th to sign up and reserve their spots, after which new players will populate the leagues.  Remember, League Dues must be paid at sign up.  The onset of the golf season also signals its time for this year’s “Spring Social”.  This year’s Spring Social is April 6th starting at 5:00 (its 5:00 somewhere) and the theme is “The Masters”.  So wear a Masters Shirt, a green jacket, or at least green.  We will have “Masters” style appetizers, distribute the tournament schedule, socialize, and discuss activities and opportunities for the season.  Bring $5 extra cash as we will have a “Members Masters Pick Tournament”.  Members will pick 3 players from 3 different “levels” that are playing in the Masters and the person whose players finish the best wins.  Details will be discussed at the party.  You can still participate even if you cannot attend the party and you can enter as many times as you like.  Contact the shop to make your picks before the Masters.  Last season we opened two new ladies tees which were great additions to the course and late last season we laid the ground work for two new regular tee renovations on holes #16 & #14.  After the dirt has settled over the winter we will begin with improved irrigation to these areas and begin to install the turf.  Every year we improve the course thanks to the support of the members.  Good news for Dave & Stefi Simmons, two new grand children Mallory Lynn Hoevel 3/18 and Olivia Renee Simmons 3/20.  Looks like they are working on a new foursome!  Watch out for Mallory, anyone born on 3/18 has to be an exceptional player, with many other outstanding qualities as well!!  We apologize for some rugged email communication this spring the company hosting our email is switching platforms and there have been issues with email and web based form mail on the website.  Hopefully, these problems will be fixed before the season really kicks in but until then, the shop is open from 9 to 5 (until the course opens) and the phone is still working!  Come see me, I am excited for the season and ready to see everyone!
